Melbourne's Winter Masterpiece: French Impressionism from MFA Boston
This landmark exhibition, developed in partnership with the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the National Gallery of Victoria, traces the rise of Impressionism and Post-Impressionism in 19th-century France. Featuring over 100 works by Monet, Renoir, Degas, Cassatt, and more, it celebrates bold brushwork, vivid colour, and radical new ways of seeing.
Through ten themed sections, visitors will encounter the creative energy of the era- brought to life through the artists’ own words, letters, and journals, revealing their ideas, friendships, and shared rebellion against tradition.
